Project Scope Spoke with Mieszko to further solidify project requirements Mieszko has stated that a drone is still of high importance to him Drone licensing is considerably more difficult than originally anticipated, requiring an exam which would take weeks to study for. Mieszko has indicated that he would be comfortable taking the test in the future, if necessary. Drone licensing is not required if we fly inside, so we will target indoor use cases for now (Mieszko may integrate outdoor flight in the future).

Camera Peter, Wilson Researched utilization of Camera x DE1-SoC from student project (CPEN 391). From reading through documentation and speaking with instructor, the video throughput is inadequate for demo purposes. Peter will consult with masters students in the FPGA group to see what cameras they’ve used in the past.

FPGA Gate Count Estimate Peter Deutsch A rough estimate has been made for the number of logic modules required to compile TensorFlow model onto an FPGA. Lower bound is acceptable but difficult to achieve. Upper bound is way to high.
